Pap Test
A pap test may result in a recommendation for cryosurgery or a LEEP procedure.
In the U.S., liquid-based cervical cytology is the most popular method, and for women with ASCUS (atypical cells of undetermined significance) results, co-collection of an HPV specimen is recommended. The benefit of co-collection is sparing many women from additional clinical examinations and further colposcopic and cervical biopsy scrutiny.
A pap test may result in a recommendation for cryosurgery or a LEEP procedure.

Pap Test -
Cryosurgery, LEEP Procedure
The cells from a swab of the mucous membranes of the cervix are inspected for any irregularities. If any abnormalities are present, a physician will generally recommend a follow-up examination to determine if there are any changes in cellular appearance. A pap test may result in a recommendation for cryosurgery or a LEEP procedure.
