After Bleeding Pap Smear -

Cytology exams are best taken one to two weeks after menstruation is over and any vaginal flow has stopped-- approximately 12 - 14 days after the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP)—and not during the time of active menstrual flow. Usually performed after bleeding, pap smear tests will detect a wart which can be removed by cryosurgery.
