Thin Prep Pap
A thin prep pap cannot detect an urinary infection, as a pap smear is responsible for cervical disorders.
This process reduces the chances of false negatives where borderline judgments are made. Special processing is done to eliminate blood and other natural debris leaving a more unobstructed representative sample for evaluation. A swab of cervical cells is rinsed into a vial of solution and forwarded to a lab.
