Pap Smears During Pregnancy
Pap smears during pregnancy are safe and cannot hurt a cervix of a woman and the fetus, cone biopsy is not performed in pregnant women.
Papanicolaou test involved taking a tissue sample with a wooden or plastic instrument from the low part of the womb and analyzing the sample. This safe procedure is performed in pregnant women to reveal changes in the cervical cells and find out the cause of abnormalities if there are any.
