Ascus Gynecology

ASCUS gynecology is a term to describe a near normal Pap smear result and is not related to vulvar vestibulitis but is critical for cervical disorders. Women should be tested yearly, especially those at risk for cancer of the cervix: becoming sexually active before the age of 18, whose mother took diethylstilbestrol during pregnancy, having a weak immune system, having a sexual partner who has or had cancer, or having had a sexually transmitted disease.
