Atypical Cells Pap Smear
Atypical cells pap smear reading might show the presence of a vaginal wart virus requiring the LEEP procedure as treatment.
As a rule, abnormalities go away on their won with no treatment applied. Patients with ASCUS are recommended to undergo the test 4-6 months after the diagnosis has been made. If the abnormalities are still present, colposcopy and biopsy are performed.
